LNG Park again in 2008

The special LNG Park introduced at ONS 2006 attracted great interest and will accordingly be repeated at the next Stavanger show in 2008.
This decision has been taken by the ONS management after assessing the very positive response both from the companies participating in the park and the many thousands of visitors.

– We clearly scored a hit with our LNG solution last year, says Kjell Ursin-Smith, managing director of the ONS Foundation. –That applied both to the exhibition and to the special conference session on this subject.

– Companies showed great interest in participating in the park, and we could have filled a second hall with potential exhibitors from the waiting list. The conference session was also very well attended.

While the presentation of LNG at ONS 2008 will build on experience gained with both the park and the conference in 2006, some changes are already planned.

– LNG operations are becoming more and more important for world energy supplies, also in relation to activities in the far north, observes Mr Ursin-Smith.

– This will be reflected in 2008 through an improved concept. Our primary goal is to secure a better site for the LNG Park. We will identify a location in the actual exhibition area, and also take account of the growing interest in participation which we’ve already noted.

In addition, he says, the organiser will work to make the conference section even better, not least by securing top international speakers.

He adds that ONS is pleased to be able to continue its collaboration with Einar Knudsen, who will repeat his 2006 role as project manager for the LNG Park.
